FAQs
Is #SocialCEOs just for leaders of large or well known charities?
No it isn’t. We’ve had some big names in the top 30 over the last couple of years, but also CEOs of small charities too. One of our goals behind the awards is to make digital as accessible as possible.
We would encourage leaders from charities of all sizes and causes to apply.
But isn’t it just for CEOs?
Alongside the top 30 CEOS, we have awards to recognise individuals’ social media presences in the following 3 categories:
- Best trustee
- Best senior leader (director or equivalent i.e. head of)
- Best rising star (senior manager/manager level)
Do I need lots of votes to win?
No, the judges look at quality rather than quantity of nominations. Obviously, if lots of people are nominating you that is no bad thing, but our panel will give more weight to calibre of entries rather then numbers.
Do I have to be based in the UK?
No, we encourage leaders of charities from all over the world to apply. Obviously, as we are based in the UK we tend to receive more entries from leaders who are based here, but we consider entries from anywhere in the world equally.
I’m a leader of a nonprofit/ social enterprise that isn’t a registered charity. Can I be nominated?
Nominees can be from charities, social enterprises, community groups and other social sector organisations. But not from public sector organisations, or private / limited companies, unless the person is being nominated for their role as a trustee.
So what are you waiting for?
